  2. What Is a Double Deep Pallet Rack? Double deep pallets consist of selective pallet racks placed back-to-back, allowing for storage of two pallets deep on each side of the racking system. So, there are four pallets deep on each side of the aisle instead of two. This racking system is designed to double the storage capacity compared to single deep racking.  A double pallet racking system is ideal for warehouses where a lot of the same products are stored because you can’t access every pallet at a given time.
