  4. 16ng WG status • Jul 2006: Submit Internet-Draft on 16ng Problem Statement, Goal and Requirement to the IESG for considerations of publication as Informational RFC • Late. This document is under revision, and will probably become a WG item in September, going to WG LC also in September (hopefully). • Sep 2006: Submit Internet-Draft on IPv6 over IPv6 CS transmission over IEEE 802.16 networks to the IESG for consideration of publication as Proposed Standard RFC • Late. This depends on the outcome of the DT analysis on subnet model in order to progress. • Oct 2006: Submit Internet-Draft on IPv4 over IPv4 CS transmission over IEEE 802.16 to the IESG for consideration of publication as Proposed Standard RFC • Daniel has some material, targetting an initial draft by October. • OCT might be hard to achieve due to higher priority being IPv6 16ng Interim Mtg, 12-13 Sep 2006

  5. 16ng WG status • Nov 2006: Internet-Draft on IPv4 over Ethernet CS transmission over IEEE 802.16 networks to the IESG for consideration of publication as Proposed Standard RFC • Max has some material. Not many issues expected here. • Max: prefer both v4 and v6 in the same document, they share most of the stuff • Dec 2006: Submit Internet-Draft on IPv6 over Ethernet CS transmission over IEEE 802.16 networks to the IESG for consideration of publication as Proposed Standard RFC • Max, Jeon, etc to document and merge with IPv4 • Implies WG LC for both v4/v6 merged document after San Diego (Nov) • Feb 2007: Submit Internet-Draft on IP deployment over IEEE 802.16 networks to the IESG for consideration of publication as Informational RFC • There is a v6ops document which pre-dated 16ng. We're tracking, but the 16ng item will include IPv4 in addition to IPv6. • Need to coordinate better with v6ops. 16ng Interim Mtg, 12-13 Sep 2006
