  9. So Little Red Hen watered the tree herself, and lots of lovely red apples grew on it. Finally, the time came to pick the apples. Little Red Hen said to her friends, “Who will help me to pick these beautiful apples?” Questions: The hen is asking his friends for help. Do you think her friends will help her? How do you know? (Please refer to the picture.) Example1

  10. Example2 • The Little Red Hen had a garden. She was very proud of her garden and loved working there. In the garden there was an apple tree. It was Little Red Hen’s favourite tree, and she looked after it very well. Questions: • What is this tree? • What do you think Little Red Hen will do next? • How do you know? (Please refer to the picture.)

  11. Example 1: • The hen’s friends will not help the hen. From the picture, the mouse and the cat are sleeping and the dog is just sitting down. • Example 2: • This is an apple tree. (The answer is from the lines.) • The little Red Hen will water the tree. • There is a watering can.

  12. Example 1 is better because the answers come from the pictures!
