Business Process Definition • “A business process is a collection of activities that takes one or more kinds of input and creates an output that is of value to the customer.” (Hammer/Champy “Reengineering the Corporation”) • It is not an organization, technology, system, role or task • The difference between a task and a process is the difference between a part and the whole.
