My year as a 4 th grader. By: Abby . SCINECE. First in science we did magnets and made circuit boards. We learned how to make schematic drawings. . Next, in science we did rocks and minerals. We did tests to see if marble and limestone had calcite in it and only limestone had calcite.

  1. My year as a 4th grader By: Abby

  2. SCINECE

  3. First in science we did magnets and made circuit boards. We learned how to make schematic drawings.

  4. Next, in science we did rocks and minerals. We did tests to see if marble and limestone had calcite in it and only limestone had calcite.

  5. Last, in science we did Envirments. we learned about food chains and food webs.

  6. MATH

  7. Each week we were doing some thing different in math. Here are some examples of what we were doing. First, probability, geometry, coordinate graphing, and even a million dollar math problem

  8. Social Studies

  9. First, in social studies we did Westward Movement at the end of Westward Movement we had a Prairie Picnic. Also, at the end of Westward Movement we did Indians.

  10. Next, in social studies we did missions. Missions was the longest time wise thing we did in Social Studies.

  11. After that, we did Government. Government took us to the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial.

  12. Last, in Social Studies we did the gold rush that brought us to the of the year.

  13. ELA

  14. First, in ELA we did Stone Fox. Stone Fox is about a little boy who is entering in a snow dog race but, is up against world champion.

  15. Next, in ELA we did Island of the BlueDolphins. In Island of the Blue Dolphins a girl and her brother get left behind, but there is a wild pack of bogs that comes along in the story.

  16. After that, we did Patty Reed’s Doll. In Patty Reed’s Doll Patty experiences scorching hot desserts, and freezing mountains. Will Patty make it to California or not?

  17. Also, in ELA we did By the Great HornSpoon. The book By the Great Horn Spoon is about a boy and butler going to the gold fields to get rich.

  18. Finale, we did the STAR Writing Test. It was a big writing test were we had to write a story but, we only got an hour.

  19. Field Trips

  20. Some of the field trips we went on were The Nutcracker, Capitol, Sutters Fort, Audubon Society, and Gold Rush Museum.

  21. FUN

  22. There are all different types of fun we do in the class room like boot camp breaks, think tanks, plexers, rubixcubes, and natural disaster.

  23. We also did, art docent, movies to Russia and wrote letters to Russia because we had buddies in Russia.

  24. Parties

  25. We had a couple parties but they all were supper fun. First, we had Halloween party. Then, our Prairie Picnic. And our Valentines party.
