NLC Decision Process • appealing site/dates for 4250+ delegates • willing state sponsor, judges, speakers • entertainment park, airline access • general session facilities for 5,000 • front & rear screen projection • pyrotechnics & laser projection • 1800 sleeping rooms per night (1500 t/q) • 8,000 total rooms at “reasonable rates” • 60+ breakout rooms for CE + skill sites

  9. Competitive Events Program • 18 members / 3-year terms • 14 states represented • 275 years of HOSA experience • Director / Co-Director • Category Chairs & Lieutenants • Meetings – twice a year • Usually the first Friday in January • Prior to NLC

  10. CE Program of Work • update event guidelines & references • add/delete events • review/act on written recommendations • chair TAC committees • select procedures, secret problems for NLC • evaluate process for CE management • manage national events at NLC
