  5. 8/27/13 EQ: What are proper lab safety procedures? We will complete the measurement lab tomorrow. Add ISN signature page to ISN (glue to inside cover) Add Rubric to page 1 (glue or staple or tape) Today we will be taking notes in our journal on page 7. HW: Journal page 6 will become your homework if not completed in class.

  6. 7-1.7 Use appropriate safety procedures when conducting investigations. *****Red Type are Quiz/Test Notes Title of Journal Page 7: 7-1.7: Science Lab Safety procedures: Always wear appropriate safety equipment such as goggles or an apron when conducting an investigation. Be careful with sharp objects and glass. Only the teacher should clean up broken glass. Do not put anything in the mouth unless instructed by the teacher. Follow all directions for completing the science investigation.

  7. Follow proper handling of live or preserved organisms in the classroom. • Keep the workplace neat. Clean up when the investigation is completed. • Practice all of the safety procedures associated with the activities or investigations conducted. • Tell the teacher about accidents or spills right away. • Use caution when working with chemicals. • Use caution when working with heat sources and heated objects. • Wash hands after each activity.
