This report outlines the progress made in the Gigabit Ethernet project during Spring 2005. The team, led by Omar Al-Jadda, Patrick Crosby, and Adam Durity, completed the division of labor, drafted a Gantt chart using Microsoft Project, and established weekly group meetings. We explored the IEEE 802.3z standard and assigned specific roles to team members including roles in standards, testing, soldering, layout, organization, and ordering. Key next steps include continuing research, gaining practical experience with testing equipment, and preparing budgets for ongoing work.
