  3. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit! Galatians 5:16... I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Leviticus 22:19,20… 19‘youshalloffer of your own free will a male without blemish from the cattle, from the sheep, or from the goats. 20‘ Whatever has a defect, you shall not offer, for it shall not be acceptable on your behalf. Romans 12:1… 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, whichis your reasonable service. 1 Peter 2:9… 9But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

  5. Galatians 5:22,23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

  6. Goodness! Do we have to be “Good”? The state or quality of being good. that which is good or valuable or useful, moral excellence or admirableness; in man is not a mere passive quality, but the deliberate preference of right to wrong, the firm and persistent resistance of all moral evil, and the choosing and following of all moral good.

  7. Matthew 19:16…16Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” 17So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, thatis, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” Was Jesus Good? He was, He is and He will be...

We are not to confuse this word with Kindness from the Greek “chrestotes” agathosune "It is more than chrestotes, gentleness, kindness, a mellowing of character." - "It is character energized, expressing itself in agathon, benevolence, active good." We must show goodness in our life and this is done by actions.

Acts 9:39…39Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them. Goodness is also to give... Be active: Give!

  13. Acts 11:35… 35“I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” Acts 10:1,2… 1There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, 2a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always. Those "led by the Spirit" will produce the fruit of GOODNESS in their lives, all these people did it, So why not us?

  14. GOODNESS IN THE LIFE OF THE CHRISTIAN... Those led by the Spirit of God will produce the quality of "Goodness" Ephesians 5:8-9… 8For you were once darkness, but now youare light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),

  15. Ephesians 2:10… 10For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Galatians 6:10… 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. 2 Timothy 3:16-17…16All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. Do we manifest that we "walk by the Spirit" in regards to GOODNESS?

  16. Please keep in mind that God is Good! If we are his children aren’t we suppose to be good also? Psalm 73:1…Truly God is good to Israel, To such as are pure in heart. Exodus 34:6…6And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,

  17. Psalm 31:19… Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men! Romans 11:22… 22Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. Are we supposed to be good?

  18. Matthew 5:48... “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. May the Lord bless us all…
