  1. Lafayette Lunchtime TennisSpring, 2014March 31 – June 13 10 Week Program Registration Form for 1st – 5th Grades Lafayette Lunchtime Tennis is a program designed to give the Lafayette students an opportunity to take advantage of a wonderful resource, the Lafayette tennis courts, during the school day. Each instructor will have a maximum of 6 students per court. During the lessons students will not only have fun but learn about anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, physics, sportsmanship, court etiquette, and scoring. Strength, stamina and flexibility will also be emphasized. It is a wonderful life skill that can be enjoyed with friends and family throughout an entire lifetime. The program will run 10 weeks. The cost is $150 for the 10 week session. Grade Schedule: 3rd Monday, 2nd Tuesday, 1st Wednesday, 4th Thursday, 5th Friday. Students with a split recess will play tennis during the first 40 minutes of lunch then eat during the last lunch shift. Due to limited resources, students may only sign up for one tennis class per session. Parents may contact me about scholarship needs. On wet days classes will focus on mobility, agility, running and strengthening on the courts. Balls and racquets will be provided but students may bring their own racquet. Check www.LafayetteTennis.org for additional programs and tennis activities.
