Strengthening Father Involvement in African American Families • Engage, partner with and fund grassroots and informal efforts in the development of a comprehensive network of fatherhood resources and supports. • Reach out to black men thru grassroots, non-traditional social networks • Build social capital at the community level • Recognize the importance of churches • Directly fund and build capacity for organizations where a majority of board, staff and population served is African American
Strengthening Father Involvement in African American Families • Increase relationship building skills and self-worth for African American men and their families (culturally appropriate and community driven). • Change female and male perception that men are not needed to raise children

Strengthening Father Involvement in African American Families • Increase access to education and employment opportunities among African American males by providing mentoring, internships and job opportunities • Create jobs • Increase minimum wage
