  3. What events happened in Florence’s life? She was born in 1820. Florence was told by her dad she could not be a nurse. The Crimean war started in 1853 and finished in 1855. Her sister was called Parthernope but for short it was Pop. She died in 1910.

  4. Why was Florence Nightingale famous? She is famous because she cleaned up the hospital. Also she gave the soldiers toilets because they had no toilets in the hospital. Before Florence nightingale came there it was all disgusting. The mess was on the floor.

  5. How did Florence nightingale inprove the hospital? Before Florence worked there the floor was dirty because there where no toilets. The toilet mess was on the floor the and there was rats running around on the floor. The soldiers thought that she was a excellent nurse. When Florence was there she gave the soldiers beds.

  6. Glossary Crimean: It is a place near the war in scutari. Famous: It is something when everyone knows who you are Soldiers: are something that fight in a war. Disgusting: disgusting is something when there’s horrible. Excellent: is something when you do good thing.
