  1. July 30, 2010 1300-1400 IETF 78 – Maastricht draft-ietf-ltans-ari-01

  2. draft-ietf-ltans-ari-01 • Informational • Intended as Capstone for LTANS work: • How to set up a archiving system that fulfils RFC4810 and uses ERS (RFC4998), XMLERS, DSSC (5698) and ERS-SCVP (5276) to bring the standards together.

  3. draft-ietf-ltans-ari-01 • System designs for a LTA (long term archive) and their implications • stand-alone solution • minimum actions: data storing, data retrieval, signature renewal and data delete. • loosely coupled with a normal archiving system • Completely hidden • With parallel access • Fully integrated in existing archive systems

  4. draft-ietf-ltans-ari-01 • include XMLERS • Explain equivalence of ERS (ASN.1) and XMLERS (XML) • But not bidirectional transformation • how to verify a combination of both • Update draft to remove LTAP references and replace it with general protocol criteria • Include and update ers-scvp references • Include and update dssc RFC references

  5. draft-ietf-ltans-ari-01 • Next steps: • Probably not too much work as mostly documentation of existing RFCs and system design options • Aljosa will join as author and we will finish next draft version by end of August, with going to WGLC by mid of September • - Or decide to drop the draft?
