This document details the significant changes and improvements in the IETF drafts for partial notifications and PIDF format. The original draft has been divided into two: draft-ietf-simple-partial-notify-01, which outlines the notification mechanism, and draft-ietf-simple-partial-pidf-format-00, which specifies the format. This separation enhances reusability and clarity. Key updates include expanded security considerations, added interoperability insights, and other editorial modifications. As the working group enters its last call phase, feedback is encouraged before the deadline on March 9th.

Changes (1) • Old version has been slit into two: • draft-ietf-simple-partial-notify-01 specifies the mechanism • draft-ietf-simple-partial-pidf-format-00 specifies the format • Main idea behind the split is to improve reusability of the format and to improve clarity in the document
Changes in draft-ietf-simple-partial-notify-01 • Added more text into security considerations section • Contains now references to presence event package security section as all identified security threads are identical • Other changes mainly editorial
Changes in draft-ietf-simple-partial-pidf-format-00 • Added more descriptive text how new elements and attribute should be used • Added Interoperability Considerations section • Other changes editorial
Open issues • Now in WG last call • No major issues identified so far • Biggest issue seems to be how must document should repeat what presence event package says • Last call ends 9th of March so there is still time to send comments
