  3. ULTIMATE FRISBEE For those interested in participating in the upcoming Ultimate Frisbee season, please come to Room 115 at lunch today, Friday, February 21st for a mandatory meeting. See you then!

  4. Sr Girls Basketball Your HandsworthSr Girls Basketball team is hosting the Lower Mainland Championships starting TODAY, tip off is 7:30pm in the large gym. All students get in free so come & cheer on your Royals!!

  5. IMPROV All Improv players will meet TODAY at lunch for 10 minutes in the drama room. The improv team perform tonight in the wildcard finals at Waterfront Theatre at 7:30 pm. Please see Mr. Beare if you want a ticket.

  6. BASKETBALL SCOREKEEPERS Any and all basketball scorekeepers! There are multiple opportunities for scorekeeping at the senior Lower mainland tournament with games today! Contact Nicole Johnston or Matt Carabetta if you’re interested. Thank you.

  7. GREECE MEETING There will be a brief importantmeeting for ALL Students going to Greece in 2 weeks on Monday, February 24th, In Room 201 @ 12:50. Please be there for this important meeting!! Thank you - Mr Carlson.

  8. Going to Greece? All students going to Greece please pick up your telephone tree for your parents from Mr. Carlson asap.

  9. Soccer Any girls who missed the soccer sign up meeting last week, please see Ms Johnson or Ms Cove to add your name to the list. Seniors tryouts begin Mon.Feb 24 & Tues Feb 25 on Handsworth Field@ 3:30 – 5:00 pm Junior tryouts begin Wed.Feb 26, Thurs.Feb 27,& Fri. Feb 28 at Cleveland South @ 4:00-5:30pm

  10. Badminton Tryout’s There is a final tryout for the badminton team for ALL students who could not attend the earlier tryouts. The tryout will be on Tuesday, February 25th @ 5pm in the large gym. Itis open to junior and senior boys and girls who did not attend the previous tryout. If you have any questions, see Mr. Gamache in Room 201.

  11. Grade 8 Camping Trip ATTENTION All Grade 8’s Please pick up your permission forms for the three day camp out on Newcastle Island a the end of April. Permission forms are available from your science teacher. They MUST be back before spring break. Don’t miss out on the fun!!

  12. BALLROOM DANCING Attention Grade 12’s….Would you like to Ballroom Dance? After school ballroom dancing classes will start the week of February 24th. No partner required. Learn to Waltz, Cha-Cha, Jive and Foxtrot. Sign up in Dr Maurice’s Room (Room 121).

  14. Outdoor Club Anyone attending the snowshoe and camping trip to Tetrahedron Park, please bring your permission forms to Mr. Sheffield in Room 120 by lunch on Friday.

  15. Debate & World Issues Hey Handsworth! Are you interested in debate & world issues? If so, join Handsworth at the Canadian Model United Nations Conference, April 4-6th at the Sheraton Hotel. For more information, join the Model United Nations Club Friday at lunch in Mr. Gamache’s room, Room 201.

  16. OVERDUE LIBRARY BOOKS!! A friendly message from the library HELP!! There are 156 students holding onto overdue library books. Please return or renew the books today! Thank you.

  17. Grade 10 & Physics 11/12 Students Please bring your forms for Playland Physics back to your teachers BEFORE spring break. Don’t miss out on this fun physics day at the PNE. Permission forms are available from your science or physics teachers.
