  1. The Catherine Tate Show The Catherine Tate Show is a sketch comedy series on BBC One/Two. It is broadcast on Thursdays at 21:30. The BBC is the main British TV channel. BBC stands for the British Broadcasting Corporation. The Catherine Tate Show was first broadcast in 2004 and finished broadcasting in December 2007. The Catherine Tate Show is after water schedule program due to the strong language used. Catherine Tate imitates all the characters portrayed in the comedy apart from extras. The main program’s characters are Joannie Taylor who plays the Nan, Lauren Cooper who plays a lazy, bad mouthed teenage school girl, Kate who plays a woman in an office, the Aga Saga Woman who tends to scream a lot, Derek Faye a man who is in denial of his sexuality, Janice who expresses her disgust at the various signs of multi-culturalism with her husband Ray, Geordie Georgie who plays a frequent petitioner, Ally who plays a tactless woman with good intentions and lastly Bernie who plays a vulgar nurse with an infectious snort. It is a conventional comedy which is half an hour long The target audience is set for teenagers and adults Each sketch is about 2 minutes long
