  2. What is Eczema? A catch all term- refers to skin swelling, dryness, itching, and redness due to genetic make up, skin irritants, allergies, and some diseases. My Health The most common type of eczema is an allergic reaction often found in babies and children that makes the skin itchy and dry.

  6. Cure Because eczema is a chronic condition, it cannot ever be “cured”, however, steps can be taken to alleviate the symptoms, as well as to avoid break outs. Steps that can be taken to prevent eczema include: maintaining control over stress, anxiety, and depression, and avoiding irritants known to cause break outs.

  7. Studies Have Shown Children who breast feed during infancy are less likely to have eczema during their childhood. Mothers breast feeding children who avoid eating: eggs, soy, and peanuts, may help prevent their child from getting eczema. Many times children who suffer from eczema will no longer have symptoms once they reach adulthood.
