Understanding Metaphor and Symbolism in Literature

In today's AP Literature class, we will review Springsteen and The Police to deepen our understanding of musical themes. We will also complete the AP Practice Set focusing on "Mr. Jones," where we will explore the differences between metaphor and literary symbolism. Students should create a detailed chart to differentiate these elements as they relate to the text. For homework, complete the AP Practice Set on "The Habit of Perfection." After finishing, please record your answers on a separate sheet of paper for review.
