  3. IB Learner Profile • Inquirers: They develop their natural curiosity. They acquire the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and research and show independence in learning. They actively enjoy learning and this love of learning will be sustained throughout their lives.

  4. Mathematical Inquirers • According to IB, students within the learner profile are inquirers. • Natural curiosity • Thirst for knowledge • Take 4-5 minutes and jot down what a mathematical inquirer would do during Algebra II class? How can you identify that they are IB inquirers?

  5. Biography Example • Albert Einstein was a scientific inquirer. Due to his constant need to uncover mysteries, his research eventually led him to discover electricity. He was a person who never felt satisfied with the knowledge he had and was always the student in school slowing down his classmates because he had so many questions.

  6. Discussion Board – due Monday by Midnight • How do you plan to be a mathematical inquirer?
