  3. On March 19, 2003, Operation Gratitude was born… …with a mission to lift morale, put smiles on faces and express the nation’s gratitude by sending individually addressed care packages to U.S. service members deployed in harm’s way.

  4. Ten years later, • The One Millionth Operation Gratitude Care Package • will be hand-delivered to one very deserving • U.S. Service Member who represents… • The Two Million U.S. Service Memberswhohave deployed in service to our country since 2003.

  5. One Million Care Packages means that in the past ten years…

  6. EVERY SIX SECONDS • A donated item has been placed into an Operation Gratitude care package • 4 MILLION LETTERS • have been written and sent to cheer service members far from home • 2.5 MILLION VOLUNTEER HOURS have been donated by hard-working Americans

  7. By December 2013, 1 MILLION ASSEMBLED CARE PACKAGES Will have weighed in at a total of 8 MILLION POUNDS Have a net worth of 100 MILLION DOLLARS And produced MILLIONS OF SMILES!

  9. Patriotic and dedicated Americans of all ages and backgrounds joined in common cause to say “Thank You” to our Military Who are we?

  10. USMC Captain John Adams A recent Marine Veteran who completed his military service, then joined Operation Gratitude to continue serving our nation and his comrades.

  11. We are Volunteers from all over the country expressing our appreciation to Service Members in harm’s way, their Families waiting at home, First Responders, Wounded Warriors and Veterans.
