Kris Anderson 04-Apr-2011 Special Report NuMI Target Updates Status Update Target Hall • Target hall work for week starting 4/4 will be focused on NT-06 beamline installation, survey, target beam scans, and readiness for full NuMI beam operation NT-06 Preparation for Beamline Installation • Completed installation of NT-06 in carrier frame assembly • Completed target survey in several target z-locations at MI-8 • All features fall within specified tolerance (~ ¼ mm) III. Reclaim NT-02 as a contingency spare • ALARA plan generated to remedy slipping couplers and install a new DS screw drive bearing block • Plan has been submitted to AD/Radiation Safety • Work to recover z-drive motion expected to start Tuesday 4/5
