Decree May, 5°, 2006: Guidelines and Principles for planning and maintaining the Identification System All equidae born in Italy since 01.01.07 have to be identified by microchip; All equidae born in Italy since 01.01.07 have to be identified under their dam before their 7° month of age; Equidae born before 01.01.07 registered according to Dec. 93/623/CEE e 2000/68/CE are considered correctly identified even without microchip; Equidae born before 01.01.07 not yet registered according to Dec. 93/623/CEE e 2000/68/CE must be identified before any further movement and however before March 1°, 2007. Born and Registerd in other Member Countries: They are registered by the National Identification System. The registration is reported on the original passport.
