Dr Theo Gavrielides Founder & Director of Independent Academic Research Studies (IARS) Dr. Theo Gavrielides is the Founder and Director of IARS and Founder and co-Director of the Restorative Justice for All Institute. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the School of Criminology (Centre for Restorative Justice) of Simon Fraser University as well as a Visiting Professor at Buckinghamshire New University. He is Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed journals Ethnicity and Inequalities in Health and Social Care, Youth Voice Journal and Internet Journal of Restorative Justice.

  3. Rt Simon Hughes MP Minister of State for Justice and Civil Liberties Simon Hughes has been the Liberal Democrat MP for Bermondsey and Old Southwark since 1983. He is also the Minister of State for Justice and Civil Liberties. He was Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats between 2010-2014, and has held a large number of frontbench positions including Shadow Spokesperson for Home Affairs, Health and Education.

Baljit Ubhey Chief Crown Prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) London Baljit Ubhey has worked for the CPS since 1992 in a number of roles including Diversity Manager and Senior Policy Adviser. She now works as Chief Crown Prosecutor for the London Crown Prosecution Service, the largest CPS area. In 2010 she received an OBE for her services to the CPS.

  5. Sultan Taylor Chief Superintendent Sultan Taylor in the Metropolitan Police Service Sultan Taylor is a Chief Superintendent in the Metropolitan Police Service and has been a serving police officer for 30 years.

The Youth Digital Award The Youth Digital Award is awarded to the young person who has produced multimedia content that creatively promotes or documents relevant and current youth related topics and issues. presented by Finalists Young Voices - Georgie Grenner, Joseph Newman and Nicola Stead Music4care (a project by Inspired Youth) - Kev Curran

The 99% Campaign Young Journalist Award The 99% Campaign Young Journalist Award is awarded to the young person who has submitted an article to the 99% Campaign blog on relevant and current youth issues that displays originality and depth and quality of research. presented by Finalists Georgie Grainger - article on alternative living Holly Whittaker - article on lowering the voting age

The Peacemaker of the Year Award The Peacemaker of the Year Award is awarded to the young person who has made a positive contribution to their community by promoting social action and youth activism. The recipient has played a key role in achieving IARS’ vision of a society in which everyone is given the chance to actively participate in social problem solving. presented by Finalists Temi Mwale - Founder of Get Outta The Gang Kenny Imafidon - Youth policy advisor

The Youth Research Project Award The Youth Research Project Award is awarded to a project that has produced new research on youth policy or youth issues that is focused, current and encourages the participation of the community in social problem solving. presented by Finalists Kieza De Sousa - research on Ubuntu Social Living Networks Safe Places Peer Research - research for the international charity Railway Children

The Community Leader Award The Community Leader Award is awarded to the young person who has shown true leadership by helping and inspiring others to contribute to their communities and tackle social issues. presented by Finalists Andrew Taggart - Founder of the Found Foundation Ezekiel Koleosho - Operations Manager at Spark Inside

  11. The Partnership Award of the Year The Partnership Award of the Year is awarded to a third sector, public or private partnership project that has worked effectively with young people to actively involve them in social problem solving and/or enabled them to influence decision-making processes.  presented by Finalists Southwark Mediation Centre & Bacon's College Think Big School (O2 and Telefonica UK)
