Before turning to snowboarding, he was an amateur skateboarder, rising through the ranks when he was eighteen years old. He still can be found on his skateboard, practicing his balance in order to improve in the sport of snowboarding.

Chad Boulter is a young professional snowboarder from Jupiter, Florida who has found a passion for teaching beginners the skills and techniques needed to start snowboarding. When it comes to becoming a snowboard instructor, there isn’t much that you need to do other than be good at the sport and have an interest in teaching. There are numerous courses that you can complete that will get you prepared to take your certification exam. To have the best chance of finding a position after passing your exam and becoming a certified snowboard instructor, apply to positions at least six months before the start of the season.

The first and most important thing you need to do is get the right equipment. Get the staff at your local snowboard shop to help you select the right equipment. Practice makes perfect. Spend the winters practicing all the moves and tricks you know. Work on developing your own unique style. Becoming a professional snowboarder takes a lot of time and commitment to the sport. However, if you are determined, like Chad Boulter was, you can accomplish your dream of becoming a professional.
