  2. How is it funded? • The programme is funded through the skills funding agency’s adult apprenticeship fund and is provided free to voluntary sector organisations. The programme lasts for at least 12 months but can go on longer than this. Learners should: • Be employed; • Not be enrolled on another adult apprenticeship programme.

  3. What’s involved? All learners complete a framework of qualifications consisting of:

BTEC Diploma in Volunteer Management 57 credit qualification covering a range of units, including: • Supervise and support volunteers; • Promote volunteering within your organisation; • Set objectives and provide support to team members; • Encourage and motivate volunteers; • Manage risk in relation to volunteers; • Introduction to managing volunteers; • Understanding effective partnership working between organisations; • Manage volunteer agreements.

  5. What’s involved? All learners need to: • Attend taught days, held once a month at GVOC: • Gather appropriate evidence; from their work role • Complete work in their own time; • Allow access to their workplace to be assessed for the vocational units; • Be allowed time off from work to complete exams; • Complete the whole framework.
