  1. LED Source Tests RSL August 2012

  2. LLS Cool White – see the last page of: http://www.oceanoptics.com/technical/LLSLightSource.pdf 600 um core fiber, goes to small integrating sphere; plan is to swap at source t Blu Loop http://www.oceanoptics.com/Products/bluloop.asp

  3. fiber going to source(s); P/N QP-600-2-SR SR-3500 input optical fiber integrating sphere; M/N FOIS-1 zoomed sphere/SR-3500 fiber end (it is inside the sphere) SEI M/N SR-3500 spectroradiometer

  4. test plan • Warm up: take a dark, turn on source, take one lite (an average of 10 scans) every 5 min for 3 – 4 hours • Repeatability: repeat with the other LED source by changing the 600 um patch fiber at the source end (also covers warm-up) • Do this for a couple of days (tests repeatability of source level and effect of decoupling and recoupling the SMA connector at the source/fiber junction) • Turn on both sources, leave them on several days, swap fiber back and forth, acquiring data every 2 h or so • Move SEI bare fiber to NPR to get a calibration • If time and data look good, move sources to temperature/humidity chamber and measure levels
