Soviets sent first man onto the moon. 1962 John Glenn became 1st to orbit the moon 3 times. Rachel Carson warned us about pollution CFC’s, and Global Warming. 1963 August 28th, 1963 Martin Luther King Jr made the speech “I have a dream. President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on November 22nd. 1964 The Beatles became popular known as the “fab four” Cigarette boxes had warning labels printed on them The first civil rights bill was passed to stop racial discrimination 1965 President Johnson ordered bombing raids on north Vietnam The Huston astrodome was built 60's Timeline
