  6. Body Image • 1 out of every 100 teenage girls between the ages of 12 and 18 will suffer from anorexia. • Stereotyping of body images not only affects teenage girls, but also teenage boys. Boys believe that the perfect girl is one who is thin and sexy, thus setting the standard of beauty much higher for the girl. • Girls as young as 9 years old are beginning to be on weight loss diets.
