Control Centre • The Control Centre available on the Tally Solutions website will simplify the task of managing various activities associated with licenses. • Every Shoper 9 customer gets an account. This account is called a Tally.NET Account ID (frequently referred to as Account ID). This is basically a short and easy to remember name for your organisation, for example, AcmeCorp. • Every Account has one Account Administrator, recognised by an E-mail ID. • An account with only one site (one serial number) is called a Single Site Account. • An account with multiple sites (more than one serial number) is called a Multi Site Account.

  4. Single Site Account • For a single site account, your Account ID and Account Administrator's ID will be created based on the e-mail ID provided during the license activation process. For example, ram@mail.com • This will be treated as the Account ID as well as the Account Administrator’s ID • This Account Administrator will be able to manage the license operations such as, surrender license and view the details of a license through the control centre

Multi Site Account • In Multi Site Account all the sites will be linked to an Account ID • Every Account has one Account Administrator, recognised by an E-mail ID • Each site will have a Site ID • Also,Every site will have one Site Administrator, recognised by an E-mail ID • You can choose and change the name you want to use as the Account ID but it has to be unique across all the customers of Tally • To ensure uniqueness, it is recommended that you use an E-mail ID as the Account ID

  6. Start Control Centre Open www.tallysolutions.com • Enter the Tally.NET User ID and Password

Control Centre • Licensing & Configuration: Configure and perform license operations such as confirm, reject the license, surrender license and display the detail of license • User Management: Create Users and assign security levels • Account Profile Management: Maintain details related to your account and change account ID • Change Account Admin: Change the Account Administrator E-mail ID • Knowledge Base: For information and answers to queries regarding various aspects of the product

Licensing & Configuration • The License & Configuration can be accessed by Tally.NET users based on provided permissions • The Account administrator can perform license operations such as, Surrender, Confirm, Reject, Change Site administrator and ChangeSite ID • The Site administrator can perform license operations such as, Surrender and ChangeSite ID

  11. List License The information related to each site/ license, such as Site Id, Site administrator, Serial Number, Product Type, Status etc. can be viewed in this screen. • Go to License and Configuration > List of Licenses

  12. Licensing & Configuration • The license status is as follows: • Active: Indicates that the site/ license is in operation • Surrender: Indicates that the site/ license has been surrendered • Pending for Confirmation: Indicates that the sites/ licenses are pending for confirmation from the Account administrator • Suspended: When license violation occurs more than 3 times • Rejected: Indicates that the site/ license is rejected by the Account administrator

  13. Licensing & Configuration • Click Action • If the site/ license status is Active then Display License View, Change Site Admin, Change Site ID and Surrender appears in the drop down

Licensing & Configuration • Display License View: Click to view the basic information, license details, version details, edition details, configuration details, co-existence information, address and contact details of the site/ license. • Change Site Admin: Click to change the Site Administrator ID. • Change Site ID : Click to change the Site ID. • Surrender: Click to surrender the site/ license.

Licensing & Configuration Cautions to be taken while surrendering license • The surrender option is used when Shoper 9 has crashed and you want to surrender the license. • In case you surrender your license using control centre when it is being used by Shoper 9, then license violation occurs. • Your license will get cancelled if the violation occurs more than 3 times.

  16. Licensing & Configuration • If the site/ license status is Pending for Confirmation then Display License View, Change Site Admin, Change Site ID, Confirm and Reject appears • Confirm: To confirm the activation of the site • Reject:To reject the activation of the site

  17. User Management The User Management section in the control centre helps to manage the users belonging to an account. • You can • Create Users • Assign Security Levels • List Users and • List Security Levels • Note: While creating users you will have to select the security levels. Default security levels such as Owner and Standard User is available. If you require additional security levels create it before creating the users.

  18. Create User • Go to User Management > Create User • Select the predefined security level of the user • Enter the Tally.Net ID • Click Save to create the new user

  19. List User • Go to User Management > List of Users • Lists of User(s): Displays the information related to each user, such as Security Level, Tally.NET ID, type of remote user, Site ID, Status, etc.

  20. Alter User • Click Action • Select Alter User

  21. Alter User In Alter User window • Select predefined security level of the user • Alter the Tally.NET ID if required (It is allowed only if the user is not an administrator) • Click Save

  22. Security Levels • The Security Level is created to provide necessary rights to the user. • By default Owner and Standard User security levels are available. • Owner: Owner will have all the rights except the License operation rights such as, surrender, confirm and reject. The rights of the Owner cannot be changed. • Standard User: By default the Standard User will have only rights for Support Centre operations and can view the Control Centre. He will not be able to perform any operations. You can change rights of standard user. • The default access rights available are: • Manage Configuration. • Manage Security Levels. • Manage Support Centre. • Manage Users.

  23. Create Security Level In Create Security Level window • Enter the name of the new security level • Select the rights that can be provided to the security level • Click Save to create new security level

  24. List Security Levels In List of Security Levels window • You can view the List of Security Levels

  25. Alter Security Level • Click Action • Select Alter

Account Profile Management • The Account Profile Management window can be accessed only by the Account Administrator and Owner • The Address details and Contact details can be set/ changed or viewed in this window • The basic account details, such as Account ID, E-mail–ID of the Account Administrator, type of account, etc. can be viewed

  28. Change Basic Details • Go to Account Profile Management > Basic details • Click Action • Select Change Basic Details

  29. Change Basic Details In Change Basic Details window • Select Organisation andenter the basic details such as Account Name, Website address • Select Individual if you are an individual using Shoper 9

  30. Change Account ID If you wish to change the Account ID • Select Change Account ID

  31. Change Account ID In Change Account ID window • Enter the new Account ID • Click Save to change the account ID

  32. Set/ Change Address Details If you wish to change address details • Select Set/ Change address details

  33. Set/ Change Address Details In Set/ Change Address Details window • Enter the Mailing Details such as Address, phone numbers, billing address, mailing address, shipping address, etc. • Click Save to create/ modify address details.

  34. Set/ Change Contact Person Details If you wish to change Contact Person Details • Select Set/ Change Contact Person Details

  35. Set/ Change Contact Person Details In Set/ Change Contact Person Details window • Enter the Contact Person Details such as Salutation, Name, Job Title, E-mail, Mobile number etc • Click Add More to add more contact person details • Click Save to create/ modify contact person details

  36. Change Account Administrator This option can be utilised to change the account administrator • Click Change Account Admin • Enter the old account admin id • Enter the new account admin id • Click Save to accept the changes

  37. Account Administrator Id • In case of Single Site, the administrator can perform only Surrender operations for his site • Erroneous updation of Account administrator ID will affect the licensing function of your organisation
