  1. What Makes a Professional Translation Service Great

  2. After recently completing my book in my native language, I was hard pressed to find a way to translate it so that others could read it. Unfortunately I wasn’t sure how I could do that in an affordable manner. I knew I had to though because I had so many fans in different countries who constantly told me how they wish the book was in their native language.

  3. After searching online I found that there were quite a few professional translation services available, but after trying one or two the service was hardly great. Although they did get me my work in a timely manner, it was far from the quality that I had expected it to be. A lot of my fans told me the work was confusing, and I didn’t know what to do. It wasn’t until I discovered a truly professional service that I realized that there was a way that I could get my work translated at a professional level.

The Problem with Some Translators • It didn’t take me long to realize that you have to use a human translator instead of an automated one, which is what I realized that some of these companies were doing. • They would take your work, put it into an automated translator and then send it right back to you without checking it for accuracy or anything at all.

  5. By the time you find out the poor quality of work that was done, they already have your money and you have wasted a great deal of your time. • It is important to use a human translator instead of an automated one because they simply cannot maintain the level of quality and mastery of a human translator.

  6. An automated translator can’t read. I remember thinking that I could use an automated service once to translate my book, but there are a ton of limitations. • Most importantly is that automated translators can only translate a few words at a time. That may be good for a word or two, but it isn’t very useful when you have an entire book and several hundred pages to translate all at once.

  7. What really drove the point home was that even in those few phrases the translator doesn’t get things right all the time. • There are actually more than few instances when it gets things wrong, and because of that you find yourself with a story that makes little to no sense from language to language. • It wasn’t long before I realized that this was not the best service to get professional level work done.
