  3. Foreword A foreword is a brief introduction to the text.

  4. Foreword Who is Kyrek? What does he see that excites him? Based off the context, what does “impenetrable” mean? Based off the context, what does “crevice” mean? Describe the old male leader. How many of them were there? Who is the prey? Who is the predator? How did the predator seize its prey? What is a synonym for helter-skelter?
