Beneficiary & Impact iBHUGOAL • Citizens of Bihar • 38 Districts, 534 Blocks, 8463 Panchayat Offices • Rural Development/Works Department, • Agriculture and Irrigation and Flood Management • Election Department • Public Health & Engineering (PHED) • Bihar Education Project (BEP) • Bihar State Health Society • Environment and Forest • ICDS & Urban Development etc.

Approach iBHUGOAL • Use Available Data in 1:1 M, 1:250 K & 1:50 K as part of National GIS Framework. • Standardization of framework for planning purpose in 1:4 K scale. • Integration with nicmaps of NIC • Use Satellite Data at various resolution viz AWIFF (56 m), LISS-III(23.5 m), PAN (5.8 m) and Quick Bird (61 cm). • Identify State Data Sets & sources (meta-data) and define, develop and implement “State Data Inventory” around National GIS Framework. • Establishment of appropriate Delivery and Implementation mechanism of Services and Sharing of Layers

Human Resource and Capacity Building iBHUGOAL • State Core GIS Team – Composite team of NIC Officers and Hired manpower for Web GIS development and Spatial Layer Creation • User Department Core GIS team – Nodal Officer along with GIS experts and GIS Operators for updating GIS layers • Resource Persons at District level- For collecting and updating Spatial and non-spatial data on Website.

Capacity Building iBHUGOAL • Deputy Election Officers and Additional Districts Election Officers. • Executive Engineers / Assistant Engineers / Junior Engineers of Rural Works Department for using GIS application for PMGSY roads and MukhyaMantri Gram AwaseshYojana • Forest Mapping for Officers of Forest Department • District Education Officers of State • Surveyers of A.N. Sinha Institute, Patna for School and Anganwadi Kendra • District Informatics Officers and District Informatics Associate of NIC • Representative of Common Service Centre • Nodal Officers of various Works Departments • Civil Engineers of Irrigation Department

Sustainability Issues iBHUGOAL • Centre for Good Governance has identified this project for creation of Central Geo-Tagged Asset Database of State • State GIS Centre is being established as HQ for the project • Govt. has notified that all funding requirement for getting benefits of the project will be funded by Information Technology Department • All Departments are now included in the project • Mobile/Tablet based implementation has started in Building Construction Department, Bihar Education Project, Rural Works Department, Rural Development Department etc.
