Have you ever wondered how computers actually work??? Just one click can change your life from a Facebook status or a tweet. Everyday you use the computer but how does it actually work. Every time you press a letter it appears on the screen. To me this is amazing. That’s why I chose the job, Computer Support Person.
JOB DESCRIPTION • Make Computers • Install and troubleshoot programs • Teach people how to use software and programs • Maintain computer networks • Learn new things about computers and software
Woking Conditions • Works 8-9 hours a day • Works five days a week • Can be blamed for things they don’t fix on time • Can get 2-3 weeks for vacation depending on how much time they work • The more they work the more chances of them getting vacation days
Education • Takes many years to study • Post-secondary education required to have this job • University Degree in computer science and computer engineering • Take certain courses to be more successful in the job: Algebra & Geometry, Calculus, Science, Computers, Information Technology, Electronics, and more
Earnings • IS paid on an hourly wage • Starting salary is $25 000- $45 000 • As they grow in experience their salary grows • an intermediate would get $50 000-$90 000 • gets benefits like paid vacations, dental coverage, and more money to their salary
