Federal Bonding Program What is Federal Bonding? Federal Bonding is insurance to protect employers from employee dishonesty…. guarantees a worker’s honesty, gives incentive to employers to hire an at risk job applicant, and is a unique tool for marketing applicants to employers.
Why Federal Bonding Is Needed • For at risk job seekers • Insurance Companies will not cover risky job applicants • For anyone who has ever “committed a fraudulent or dishonest act”
More About Federal Bonding • Covers any employee dishonesty at or away from the workplace • Any full or part-time employee paid wages with federal taxes automatically deducted can be bonded • Self-employed workers are not covered • A total of $5,000 is usually issued, with NO DEDUCTIBLE amount of liability to the employer • Bonds can be issued to cover already employed workers who need bonding to prevent being laid off or secure a transfer or promotion to a new job at the company
