Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year in Mrs. Muir's second grade class at Glen Arden! With 15 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Muir is dedicated to creating a positive learning environment focused on behavioral support and engaging lesson plans. This year, we'll explore math, reading comprehension, and writing, emphasizing individual skill levels. Communication is key, so please stay in touch! How you can help at home... • Please have your child arrive on time (7:55) • Check homework and encourage students to correct errors. • Check/sign the homework each night. • Help your child to get a good night’s sleep. • Send a healthy snack. • Stay positive! • Communicate with me!
Important Policies • If your student is absent, you have THREE DAYS to send in an excuse note, or the absence will be marked unexcused. • Students will not be allowed to charge over $7.00 in the cafeteria. If a student is going to exceed $7.00, they will be given an alternative meal.
