  5. HIES 2009/10 • sample survey which collect consumer durables of the households • It include the number of household durables in a household such as: • Household Appliances • Transport and communication goods • Recreation and entertainment goods

  6. ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION • HOUSE REGISTRY • Records are maintained by each City/ Island Council Office. • Registers include individual information such as: • Name • Age • Sex • Permanent Address (location by island) • DOB • NID number • Area of the Land

ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION • AGRICULTURAL LAND REGISTRY • Records are maintained by each City/ Island Council Office. • Registers include individual information such as: • Island • Owner • Sex • Date of Birth • Place of land (In Household or agricultural land or Uninhabited island) • Permanent Address (location by island) • Area of the Agricultural Land

  8. CHALLENGES USING THESE REGISTERS • These registered are maintained manually in some islands. No proper compiled list is available. • Statistics Division does not have access to these data. • No tables have been generated using these registers.
