  2. Cool Facts • Bagpipes are very common here. • The climate is very foggy, wet and cloudy. • Scotland is home to the Loch Ness monster. • Bal morel castle is a highland home for the queen of England.

  3. Weird Facts • Scots eat haggis which is liver in a sheep stomach. • Robert the Bruce ( my ancestor) freed Scotland from Great Britain.

  5. Ways to reach Scotland • You can reach Scotland by car, ( If you are in Europe) boat or plane.

  6. Battle Men • Many of my ancestors fought in the Civil War. • James Johnston Pettigrew was a general in West Virginia. • Many Scottish warriors are related to me.

  7. The Riley's • The Rileys came on the Mayflower. • One of my ancestors was Lt. Governor of Plymouth.

  8. Map of Scotland • Scotland is bordered to the south by Great Britain. • The North Sea surrounds Scotland to the north.

  9. Scots • Scottish men and women were very hardy and loved to drink ale. • Bar girls called wenches spent all day tasting beer.

  10. Scottish Warriors • Scotland had been a quiet country until Great Britain(not so great in my book) decided to try and take it over. • Robert the Bruce only had a small army but as he won more and more battles more men joined him. • Robert eventually pushed Great Britain out of Scotland.
