  1. Plate Boundaries By: Tegbir

  2. World Tectonic Hotspots Index • Marianas/Japanese Trench • Japan • Hawaii • Pacific NW Cascade Volcanoes • San Andreas Fault • Peru-Chile Trench • Mid Atlantic Ridge, Iceland • African Rift Valley • Himalayan Mountains • Aleutian Islands • Java Trench P.S Those are also links

  3. Marianas/ Trench Here is the deepest part of the ocean which two plate collided which resulted in one sub ducting under the other In this case it is the pacific (oceanic) and the Eurasian(continental) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5D3VkGkU5Dw

  4. Japan Two oceanic plates collide and one sub ducts, then debris and materials will reach the surface then forming volcanic island strings Called Island Arcs

  5. Hawaii Islands that are filled with shield volcanoes Formed by hot spots in the pacific plate The pacific plate would carry the island away and another would come up in its place http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1eibbfAEVk

  6. Pacific NW Cascade volcanoes volcanoes in an arc in North America Subduction in the Cascadia Subduction zone Juan de Fuca and the Pacific are responsible for this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HJ8pWEWYuM

  7. San Andreas Fault A large continental transform fault line Where two plates slide past each other Pacific plate and the North American are at work http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxPTLmg0ZCw

  8. Peru-Chile Trench This is result of two plates (oceanic and continental) subducting underneath one another Nazca and South American are the ones causing this

  9. Mid Atlantic Ridge, Iceland This is divergence of different plates Also part of the longest mountain range in the world but it is underneath water Eurasian Plate  North American Plate, Goes through Iceland causing some volcanic action

  10. African Rift Valley This area is where plates diverge Here the Arabian and the African plate are moving away from each other http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDWAPd46Q7A

  11. Himalayan Mountains This is an example of convergence in my homeland The Indian plate and the Eurasian plate both continental hit each other creating fold mountains because of the compressing of everything

  12. Aleutian Islands small volcanic islands, forming part of the Aleutian Arc Pacific plate is plunging under the North American plate, rather than grinding against it The material come to the surface and form a volcanic arc

  13. Java Trench Convergence happens here and the Between the Australian-Indian plate and the Eurasian
