Gordon Research Conference on Research at High Pressure, June 27 – July 2, Holderness School, New HampshireDennis Klug, Gordon Research Conferences, DMR 1007940 This was an award to support U.S. students, postdocs, and junior faculty to attend the 2010 Gordon Research conference on Research at High Pressure. It was a very successful conference and here are some comments that we received after the conference. • * There are a lot of very nice studies under high pressure. They are very active. • * The really fresh, brand-new unpublished researches are presented. Friendly atmosphere make us young researchers feel easy to ask • questions to "big names." • * Talks in the "young investigator" session. Should perhaps expand this somewhat. • * Plenty of time for discussion in a very relaxed setting. Excellent opportunity to meet with the leading experts in this field. • * Many high level lectures. • * Meeting the researchers in my field and discussing possible collaborations. Learning new approaches and direction in research. • * Networking with colleagues and presentations of new material by experts in the field. • * Exciting new science. • * Excellent talks, diverse topics, excellent discussion. • * Senior scientists in the audience didn't hesitate to compliment the talks and provide perspective. This was useful to me as a new comer. • * Posters and speakers are both great. • Shock physics session. • More comments from participants on next slide

Good number of posters. Good poster sessions. * Broad range of topics. * Lively discussion. * Availability of speakers for discussion. * The schedule was very good. * I was amazed by the quality of the talks and speakers. * Discussion of critical problems in the talks. * Presentation of cutting edge science and technology. * Top ten people in the High Pressure field appear at the meeting. Those active peoples bring in novel ideas. * I always find the GRC poster sessions the best exchange of information. * Poster sessions. * There are a lot of very nice studies under high pressure.
