Accomplishments 2011-12 • Re-education of Dispute Policy • Town Meeting • Consistency between Staff & Departmental handbooks • Explanation of how salaries are determined for new positions and equity across departments for new and existing positions • Explanation of how job descriptions, classifications, and salary levels are being updated.

  3. Ongoing Goals: • Continue to build on successful work through the Town Hall Meeting • Continue to explore, initiate, and execute ways to produce wider participation in Staff Association among staff members • Continue to work with Administration to ensure all policies are administered fairly and consistently across all constituencies • Continue to address and explore ways to examine the effect of administrative, policy, organizational, and work practice changes on the ability of staff members to perform their jobs.

  4. Importance of: • Viewing innovation and change in a positive light • Keeping an open mind • Seeing change as an opportunity to find and implement innovative solutions to work place challenges and problems • Making a concentrated, educated effort to shift from former work practices to new ones.

  5. Impediments Faced by Staff • Leaner environment • Changing technology and the adoption of organizational changes • Learning curve – time needed to adjust to changes while still having to complete workload
