Mini Summit Aug 31 • Last Mini Summit! • Objectives • Additional feedback and refinement on project plans • Increased knowledge and support for project ideas • Format • Organized by Areas of Strategic Focus and divided into subgroups • Presentation by spokesperson to subgroup of most impactful idea • Impactful – in terms of revenue increase, operational efficiency, cost decrease • Each presentation lasts 8 minutes • Group can ask questions, seek clarifications

  4. Board of Trustees feedback • Briefing was short – time constraint • 2 hours to 30 minutes • Conversation focused on V/M/V • Acknowledged amount of work done • Want the plan to be bold • No criticisms of words used • No suggestions on wording

  5. Going Forward • Board engagement – work with Executive Committee • Engage the Executive Committee of Faculty Senate • Ensure clarity in language used in the plan • Board has a busy agenda through the fall • Provide plan by October • Volunteers to assist with drafting

Draft Goal Statements Collaborative Delivery of Services Wright State University will develop a service-oriented culture, based on transparency, with a goal to reduce redundancy, increase efficiency, support accessibility and enhance student success and innovation. Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Wright State will provide a productive environment for student-centered scholarship and integrate the core teaching, research, and service programs with the innovation and entrepreneurship activities of our regional partners. Strategic Relationships and Partnerships Wright State will create and develop innovative, experiential, and mutually beneficial partnerships for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to foster active engagement opportunities with local, regional, national, and international communities.  Teaching, Learning, and Programming Wright State will expand the delivery and accessibility of high-quality education and experiential learning programs which reflect the diverse needs of students while supporting and enhancing the excellence and professional development of the University’s human capital. The Wright State Experience Wright State will embrace a student-centered experience through a holistic support structure and a culture centered on the value of its diverse and inclusive employee and student population.
