What is the MCMI-IV? • The Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory–IV • A 195 item self-report instrument • Helps clinicians assess personality and psychopathology in adults age 18 years or older who are undergoing psychological or psychiatric assessment or treatment • Important feature that distinguishes from other inventories is use of actuarial base rate data

  4. What is the MCMI-IV? • Identifies patients according to percentages that better reflect the underlying prevalence in the clinical population • Ensures frequency of MCMI–IV generated diagnoses and profile patterns are comparable to representative clinical prevalence rates
