  1. Should I Buy a Queen-Size Bed? Shopping for bedroom furniture is very exciting, but you can't just go for the biggest mattress on the market. While you might want a California king bed for the extra length and width compared to your current bed, you must consider the size of the room in which it's in and the cost. Take a look at why single adults and couples alike should consider getting this larger mattress. How Does the Size of a Queen Size Mattress Compare to Others? First off, you have to know the mattress dimensions and the room size you want to place the bed. Remember that the space you measure must include measurements of the box spring and bed frame, too. Here are the common sizes of different mattresses so you can determine which mattress you have enough space for. California King mattress: The California king size mattress is 72" X 84", and it is one of the largest available. You will notice that this mattress has extra width but less length than the king, so it has the most personal space. King Bed: The standard king bed dimensions measure 76" X 80". These can often be split into an adjustable bed that features half. California Queen: This mattress is 60 inches by 84 inches, adding more legroom to the mattress. Standard Queen Size: The mattress on the standard queen measures 60" X 80", giving plenty of space for one or two people. Full-size mattress: A full-size bed will measure 54" X 74", so it's great for a large individual that needs space or some couples. Twin XL Mattress: This mattress is 38" X 80". You will most often find these in a college dorm or in the rooms of tall people that only require a single mattress. Twin Size Mattress: The standard twin bed measures 38" X 75". These are used for bunk beds and in the rooms of children. Now that we have an idea of the standard mattress size, we must look at how this would work with your living situation.

  2. Do You Have Extra Space? The size of a master bedroom varies from home to home. If you have a large room size that can easily fit a queen, you might want to try getting an Olympic queen bed if not a standard king. That way, you have more legroom and space for your resting needs. If you are getting a bed for the guest rooms, a queen can also be the best mattress. It is large but not too large, enough to give single sleepers a restful night and help couples have enough sleeping space, like when your in-laws visit you. If you can fit them, the California queen bed dimensions are perfect for taller individuals compared with other beds. Why the Queen is a Popular Mattress Size Why do people love the queen mattress? Well, if you've paid attention, you'll already know most of them. Looking at the size chart, the bed is neither the smallest nor the largest. It can fit in smaller rooms, but it can also accommodate couples. When you get a new bed in the queen size, you will find that you can get the bed in many different styles in terms of materials. Everything from innerspring to new-age memory foam is commonly used in these new mattresses. Lastly, these beds are typically at the right price point so that you won't feel bad buying one for the master bedroom or your guest room.
