This project by Nicola van Wilgen, Melodie McGeoch, and collaborators investigates climate change impacts within SANParks. Utilizing frontier climate data, the research focuses on temperature and rainfall patterns across various parks. Preliminary findings indicate significant temperature increases in Addo National Park, while rainfall patterns have shown a dramatic decrease over 90 years. Though some locations, like Addo AGR, haven't displayed significant trends, high levels of missing data remain a challenge. This study is crucial for understanding environmental changes in South Africa.
