Strategic mission2003 • Management of the NSTDA knowledge and learning center to serve the information need of researchers, scientists, industrialists,educators,politicians, students and the public with accurate, timely and efficient information through physical and virtual libraries with links to share resources from the global information networks • Development of Thai research databases needed for planning Thailand national science and technology policy • Initiation of national science digital library by integrating library, archive and museum to serve as national union catalog of science and technology documents on the Web

  5. 1. Online Database Searching TIAC provides fee-based information searching from local international and online database mainly: Dialog corporation(TM), Lexis/Nexis(TM), STN International(TM). Online database service is also available in bibliographic and full text format.

  6. 2. Document Delivery Service TIAC is member of several international suppliers: the British Library, Dialog Corporation, NRC/CISTI -Canada and NACSIS-NII/Japan. We provide a fee-based one stop service for customers who need fast information from local and from overseas sources.

  7. 3. S & T journals Library TIAC is a main library of NSTDA, freely open to the public. We subscribe to over 500 Thai & foreign journals in the field of biotechnology, material science, electronic & computer, and S&T policy.

  8. 4. Seminars and Training TIAC’s seminars and training for professional information workers who need to brush up and to keep up with the fast ICT world and the digital libraries. Field works for librarian & information Science and computer science students in Thailand each year approximately 10 institutions.

  9. 5. Database development TIAC is the first database producer to have incorporated the theses of 48 universities in Thailand. Thai thesis database provides bibliographic information including abstracts in Thai and English. The complete database is from 1974 to present , with continuous updates. Search software is full-text and used Thai technology. TIAC also contracted to produce CD-ROM databases for government organizations
