Skillseekers is a training program run by Local Enterprise Companies in Scotland, designed to help young people aged 16-24 gain recognized workplace qualifications. The initiative supports employers in training these individuals by offsetting training costs, aiming to enhance career opportunities. While many participants are already employed, Skillseekers also offers placements for those struggling to find jobs. Benefits include practical training, national qualifications, improved career prospects, and a guaranteed allowance. Despite challenges, the program plays a vital role in Scotland’s low unemployment rate.
