  2. What is the PLAN? The PLAN is a college readiness test for 10th grade students and a great way to prepare for the ACT test. It can provide an estimated ACT score, as well as provide a foundation for future academic and career successes.

  3. What will the Plan test cover? The PLAN generally takes about three hours and covers four academic sections as follows: • English 50 items 30 minutes -Rhetorical skills, use & mechanics. • Mathematics 40 items 40 minutes -Pre-algebra/algebra & geometry • Reading 25 items 20 minutes • Science 30 items 25 minutes

  4. How Can Taking the PLAN Help Me? • The PLAN lets you know if you’re on track for college. • Points out your academic strengths and areas you need to improve. • Helps you find careers that match your interests. • Connects you with more colleges interested in you.

  5. Tips for doing your best on the PLAN • Get plenty of sleep the night before the test. • Follow directions exactly and don’t be afraid to ask questions. • Mark your answers carefully. Fill in the ovals neatly. • Don’t spend too much time on any single question. • GUESS! There is no penalty for guessing, so answer all questions.
