PhD Programme • Typically 3-5 students in each year’s intake, about 15 overall. • Taught components • Philosophies of Social Science, Quantitative and Qualitative Methods, Practice of Social Research • NATCOR residential modules in the first two years • Research • Two supervisors • Expected completion within 3-4 years • Dissertation and viva
What is expected • You work independently on your research topic • Regular meetings with supervisors and their guidance • Typically contribution to both theory and application (but the balance varies) • Expect to present your results at conferences and publish
