This document outlines the progress made on the Directory and Trust Services (D&TS) policy requirements as of July 17, 2012. A working document was created to serve as a strawman for identifying essential policy artifacts needed by the Tech Track team. Key elements discussed include the prioritization of policy artifacts, the roles of local Health Information Organizations (HIOs), and various use cases for directory services. Next steps include volunteer-led drafting of initial artifacts and presenting updates in the upcoming team meeting.
