  2. Who are we? The EPCPFN is a group of organizations and agencies that have come together to: Educate people with functional needs about what preparedness means to them. Assist the Emergency Management community in planning for individuals and communities with functional needs. Assist in planning for the “Whole Community”.

  6. Mission • To improve: • emergency & disaster planning, • policy development, and • response to the functional needs of individuals and communities; AND

  7. Mission • To educate & promote the participation of: • state, local and voluntary agencies, • people with functional needs, and • emergency management organizations • in preparing for emergencies and disasters.

  8. Vision • People with functional needs will be: • informed of their responsibilities in preparing for an emergency, • affirmed in their capacity to prepare, • provided appropriate emergency sheltering options, and • affirmed that their functional needs are incorporated into all phases of emergency management.
